Parish Poll on the Purchase of the Post Office
10/09/2015 @ 16:00 - 21:00
Please read the information provided here which details the question and background information.
An excerpt from the Letter from the Parish Council: –
By having a parish poll or referendum, everyone who is on the electoral register and eligible to vote has an opportunity to influence the outcome.
The polling day will be Thursday 10 September 2015. You will be able to vote on the proposal between the hours of 4pm to 9pm. The polling station will be at the Coronation Hall.
The parish poll process is organised by Electoral Services, Herefordshire Council, which sets the rules and will be responsible for the polling station and the count.
Please note there are no provisions for electors’ poll cards or for postal or proxy voting. Your vote will need to be made in person at the polling station.
Please let a neighbour or friend know if you need help getting to the polling station. If this is not possible, please contact the Clerk on 01568 770776, who may be able to make arrangements to help you get to the polling station.
It is most important to use your vote if at all possible. A simple majority of ‘yes’ votes cast will be viewed as supporting the proposed purchase of the current Post Office building. A simple majority of ‘no’ votes cast will be viewed as not supporting the proposed purchase of the current Post Office building.
