VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR KINGSLANDLIFE
We are always looking for volunteers to help with the KingslandLife website so that we can continue this valuable information service for the parish.
Administration – we have 2 committee meetings a year and occasional extra ones. Anyone who would be interested in being our Secretary would be welcomed!
Website updating helpers – if you are comfortable with computers and can use at least Word and email we can teach you how to update this easy WordPress website. If you are familiar with WordPress even better! Helpers are always needed so we can ensure this website is as up to date as it can be.

JOB VACANCY – BORDER OAK
Main duties will include initial client interaction (telephone, email and in person) and providing excellent administrative support (including typing and administration of sales database, some events organisation etc) to the Sales Team – enabling us to provide a first class service to our clients. We have a wide range of diverse projects and are confident that the job will be interesting.
The successful applicant will need super strong organisational and IT skills (including customer data bases, typing, stock taking etc) and enjoy client interaction with a professional, helpful and friendly attitude . It will help to be a ‘team player’ and to be enthusiastic, positive and flexible. Attention to detail is a bonus, as is some knowledge of construction, design, self build or similar (but we can also provide training.) Previous customer interaction/office skills would be useful.

A) RETAIL VOLUNTEERS in all of our 17 Hospice Shops and Home and Living Stores across the county. Can YOU help? Would you like to meet new people, gain new skills and develop new interests within a dedicated team? Our Hospice Retail Team would like to hear from anyone who could help out as little as 4 hours per week at their local Hospice Shop: we will happily provide any training required. No experience necessary!

b) VOLUNTEER SITTERS to support their new Herefordshire Hospice at Home Service
Sitters are needed to provide companionship and support to patients and families in their homes and would suit anyone who could spare 3-4 hours a week or fortnight.
Experience of care is not a pre-requisite and no personal care is required. Training will be provided (next course 5th September to 7th November (6.30 to 9pm) – break weeks 24th and 31st October.
Sitters need to have access to their own transport (mileage to be paid by Hospice) and will have to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
