Bird Flu – Latest requirements from DEFRA for domestic and commercial poultry and other bird keepers; Kingsland is in a new Surveillance Zone

There is a new outbreak of a highly pathogenic strain of bird flu south of Leominster and DEFRA has declared the whole UK as under an Avian Flu Prevention Zone. Kingsland is now in a DEFRA Surveillance zone following this outbreak.

Avian flu is a notifiable disease. If you see any dead wild birds or symptoms in wild birds or your own kept birds please notify DEFRA on their helpline.
