Coronation Hall Tennis Courts Project – update 6.8.18

The tennis courts in the village were constructed in the 1970s and having only been resurfaced once in the 1990s are in desperate need of resurfacing once more. The Village Hall Committee is looking at raising money through grant funding, developer contributions from recent development in the village (s106 / planning obligations) and donations.

The courts will be resurfaced with free draining tarmacadam to enable greater use throughout the year. The two courts will be marked up primarily for tennis and there will be two netball courts marked up widthways and two fixed basketball hoops within the space for informal play.

Following completion of the works, which we hope will be by next spring, the courts will remain free to use for appropriate sporting activities.

This is a community facility and if you have any views or if you would like to be involved, we would love to hear from you.
