Do you have a teddy bear you could give to a suffering child in Syria?
Please see our entry for current donation details on the Clubs and Organisations page under ‘Teddy Trust’ here (updated 24.4.17)
March 2015 (update above 24.4.17)
For the past two years we have been collecting and sending second-hand teddies and soft toys to abused children in South Africa. The teddies are donated by local people and distributed by Rotary International in the townships where they are given to children in hospitals, hospices and crises centres.
Now, through the Syria Relief and Development organisation we have the opportunity of sending thousands of teddies to children suffering the most appalling hardship in Syrian towns and cities.
Teddies, given with love by a child in the UK, can bring comfort and maybe even some healing to a suffering child.
Teddies must be clean and in good condition – cuddly please – give them a hug and then put them in the tub!!
ALSO IN LEOMINSTER AND HEREFORD AT:
LEOMINSTER – SANTANDER BANK, DRAPERS LANE; THE ECHO SHOP, WEST STREET; PHILLPOTS GARDEN NURSERY, DISHLEY STREET
HEREFORD – ROSE COLOURED RAGS, BY THE BUS STATION IN HEREFORD
If you want to donate but can’t get to any of these drop off points then please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for help
Our aim is to send 10,000 teddies in June!
Thank you so much!
