Kingsland is looking for bellringers – come and learn at the church!

Message from the Bellringers

Bellringers Kingsland bells
Kingsland church bells

Part of the magic of living in an English village such as this is the sound of the church bells. We ring them for Sunday Service, to celebrate the joy of weddings and village festivals and sadly when loved ones are laid to rest.

We ring because it is enjoyable, interesting and fun!

However, we have reached a point where we need more ringers. Some ringers have moved away and probably ring elsewhere, some have retired and some have died. This is life but it leaves us very short. There are only two active ringers registered for Kingsland and Aymestrey sadly has none

Bellringing is an enjoyable activity and can be learnt from ages 8 – 80+; so why not join us and learn to ring? Beginning in September this year a five week course of 10 lessons (two a week) will be held at Kingsland and Eardisland so join us and book your place now. The cost of £25 for the full course will be made. (On average £2.50 a lesson is excellent value)

Call Pat on 01544 340295 or email patkey@mypostoffice.co.uk

If you hear us ringing on a Monday evening, do come and see what we are doing and have a chat. You are most welcome!
