Results of the Parish Litter Pick

A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who took part in the litter pick on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th March.

Only a year since the last pick we still collected a huge amount of assorted rubbish from the verges, pavements and ditches. Notably this year though there were hardly any discarded cigarette packets, so some habits must be changing!

We covered almost the whole of the parish, only missing out the Knapp to Eyton and the majority of the footpaths across the fields. We are really confident that the Knapp route is regularly tidied by dog walkers but if anyone could check the field footpaths it would be wonderful!

An especial ‘thank you’ must go to Cllr Sebastian Bowen. Not only did he provide us with beautiful new kits and then take them off with him to be used again by Richards Castle but he joined us on both days doing a total of six hours back-breaking work!

So thank you all again!

L.J. and J.M.

P.S. The national litter pick is taking place from March 20th to April 13th.
