ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

Remembrance Day  We had to adopt Plan B. Reverend Julie received a call on Monday 2 November saying all churches were to close.  We therefore decided on a minimum event,

with just the RBL Standard, the RBL and Fire Brigade wreaths and our trumpeter.  Attendance by others was to be kept to a minimum.  In the event, steady rain acted as a deterrent

but we were supported by several hardy souls, in particular Councillor ‘Seb’ Bowen whose chain of office as Chairman of Hereford Council brightened a gloomy day. Our thanks go to Reverend Julie Read for her introductory and valedictory prayer, our supporters and to Graham for his rendering of ‘Last Post’ and ‘Reveille’

Future Meetings  We remain bound by instructions from London and so until further notice, we will not hold any meetings.
