At the end of 2016, SMAAAK would like to thank all the wonderful Kingsland venues for their kind hospitality and everyone for their enthusiastic support. So far, with your help, we have raised over £30,000 for the restoration of our lovely Church and will be discussing ideas for upgrading the Church facilities shortly.

2017 kicks off with a bang with Nicholas Collett performing “Your Bard”. A fast and furious romp through Shakespeare’s life – his family, what it’s like on tour and the glory days at the Globe; Queen Elizabeth I, Christopher Marlowe and Ned Alleyn – with additional material by William Shakespeare, all performed by the Bard himself. Hot on its heels in February, our annual childrens’ theatre, this year a wonderful interpretation of “Peter and the Wolf” expertly puppet-teered by the On the Other Hand Puppet Theatre. And in March, a witty and wicked cabaret based around The Graduate’s infamous Mrs Robinson performed by acclaimed jazz singer Fiona Coffee. Our thanks to Arts Alive for bringing these exceptional events to rural venues in Herefordshire, Shropshire and surrounding areas.
